IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joan Lois
Boepple
October 10, 1931 – March 19, 2024
Joan L. Boepple, age 92, a resident of Lincolnwood, passed away, peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born in 1931 in Chicago to Harry and Adeline Herzog.
Joan grew up in Chicago and attended Amundsen High School where she met her future husband, Jack Boepple. It was also at Amundsen where Joan made lifelong girlfriends and enjoyed their regular "club" gatherings well into their 80's. Jack and Joan were married over 67 years and lived in Lincolnwood for 60+ years.
Joan had an easy-going personality and, at times, a playful sense-of-humor – she liked to laugh. She was always happy to join in the mix whether it be a card game, sharing time with her grandchildren, or camping with family which she did into her late 80's. Nothing held her back.
Joan shared her love for puzzles and Canasta with her kids. But most of all, Joan loved being around her family, and enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas not only for family, but friends of the family, too. Joan also loved dogs and had family dogs all of her adult life. But, it was only the last one, a Jack Russell Terrier named Harry (after her dad), that she could finally call HER dog.
She is survived by her son Jack Boepple (Georgia); daughters, Jill Nosbaum (Anne) & Jeri Tinsley (Colin); her granddaughters, Christine Barry (Jon), Samantha Blazey (Jonn), Kerbi Urbanowski, Madeleine Boepple, Maxine Urbanowksi, Lindsey Nosbaum, Casey Nosbaum, Jesse Campbell (Casey), and Chelsea Tinsley; and her grandson, Sid Tinsley. Joan is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack (who passed in November 2017).
Services will be held privately.
