Joan B. Adams' Obituary
Joan B. Adams, age 85, a resident of Wyndemere Retirement Community in Wheaton, IL, died August 13, 2009 at home. She was born April 10, 1924 in Belfast, North Ireland.
Mrs. Adams worked as a bookkeeper for Glenbard West High School and Bob Horsley's Clothing Store in Glen Ellyn, IL. She was a member of St. Matthew United Church of Christ in Wheaton.
She is survived by her son, John (Lisa) Adams of West Lafayette, IN; her grandchildren, Emily Adams of Westminster, CO, and Daniel Adams of Davenport, IA; her siblings, Marjorie Lafayette of Evanston, IL, and Addison Ehrlinger of Chicago, IL; and the mother of her grandchildren, Rita Adams of Danville, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Adams.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a memorial service at 12:00 P.M. at St. Matthew United Church of Christ, 1420 S. Gables, Wheaton, IL 60189. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the church.
