Jo Anne Wild, age 86, a resident of West Lafayette, IN, and formerly of Wheaton, IL, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at home. She was born March 19, 1923 in Elwood, IN to John and Margaret Ring.
Jo Anne was raised in Farrell, PA, graduating from Farrell High School. She married Edward B. Wild on February 26, 1949. She lived in Wheaton, IL from 1954 until 2004 and was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church during that time. She served as the bookkeeper for the family business, Web Products, a specialty chemical company.
She is survived by her five children, Jeri (Steven) Powles of Eagle, CO, John (Barbara) Wild of St. Charles, IL, Robert (Pauline) Wild of West Lafayette, IN, Edward (Brenda) Wild Jr. of Naperville, IL, and Judi (Robert) Pottle of St. Charles, IL; eight grandchildren, Stacy Powles, Matt Powles, Heather (Thomas) Sornig, Nicole Wild, Erin (Jim) Wild-Gross, Shawn Wild, Kelly Pottle, Rachel Pottle, and Carly Pottle; two step-grandchildren, Oliver (Melissa) Beers, and Hayley Beers; and three great-grandchildren, Thomas Sornig, Brooklynn Sornig, and Baylee Gross.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward B. Wild on February 8, 1990.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 16, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church, West St. and Illinois St. in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to the American Heart Association, 801 N Cass Ave # 200, Westmont, IL 60559.
