Jerry L. Warren, age 78, a resident of Wheaton, since 1969, died Tuesday, June 18, at Geneva Nursing and Rehab in Geneva, Illinois. He was born September 24, 1934 in Nashville, TN to Ernest Lesley and Carrie Warren.

Jerry joined the US Air Force in 1954 and served until 1957. He married his wife of 58 years, Shirley Raye Saluk, on January 30, 1955. He was a skilled tradesman who worked in the construction industry. He worked for a number of years for Palatine Builders before retirement.

Jerry, a member of Valley View Baptist Church in St. Charles, was a talented photographer and an avid billiards player. He loved animals, especially his cat Weasel.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his children, Leslie Warren of Montour Falls, NY, Jerry W. (Darlene) Warren of Wheaton, two grandchildren, Amanda (Christopher) Morgan and Gerri Emily Warren, three great-grandchildren, Christopher, Emily and Devan.

Preceding him in death was his son, Daniel Joseph Warren and his parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, June 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 25 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery.
