Jerry McNeill, age 86, a resident of Wheaton, went home peacefully to his Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.  He was born March 4, 1937 in West Frankfort, IL to Paul & Lora McNeill.  He was the youngest of 9 children.

After graduating from Lyons Township High School and Oak Hills Bible College, he went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army.  He and Bonnie met at the LaGrange Bible Church and were married in 1966.  They moved to Wheaton and raised their two children, Susan and Mark.  Jerry enjoyed the outdoors, camping and hiking. He took his family on many adventures.  He also enjoyed gardening at the church and in his own backyard.  If there isn't humor in Heaven, there is now, as Jerry enjoyed telling good jokes!

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie; two children Susan of Lisle, IL, Mark (Joyce) of Rushford MN; four grandchildren Ian, Ayla, Andrew, Ryan.

A visitation will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be at 7:00 p.m.
