Jeanette B. Ingersoll, age 95, a resident of the Holmstad in Batavia, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 12, 2018. She was born June 25, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Roy Willis and Elsie Pearl Bolar.
On August 4, 1940 she married Charles Ingersoll. They moved to Wheaton in 1954 where he worked for Youth for Christ International. They were active members of the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church where she sang in the choir, worked in the library and served in numerous ways.
She remained active while living at the Holmstad, singing in the choir, posting notices, serving with the women's auxiliary, and working in the gift shop. She was willing to serve where ever she was needed, often behind the scenes.
She is survived by her children, Chuck (Zoe) Ingersoll of St. Charles and Karen Leonard of Batavia, four grandchildren, Scot (Donna) and David (Carrie) Leonard and Violet and Lantz (Jennifer) Ingersoll, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by one brother, Marlin Bolar of Tucson, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2003, her sister, Mary Ellen Roberts, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery.
