Jean Berglund Gustafson, 81, of Carol Stream, IL passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Born March 24, 1935 at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Harold Eugene and Eunice Emeline (Rolander) Berglund.

Jean graduated from Princeton High School (Illinois) in 1953 and Cornell College (Iowa) in 1957. Upon graduation from Cornell, she moved to Beloit, WI to begin a teaching career in the Beloit Public Schools. On June 19, 1960 Jean married David Gustafson from Clinton, WI. She was a long-time member of the Redeemer Evangelical Covenant Church in Beloit, WI. Following the birth of her children, she taught 3rd Grade in Rockton, IL for 24 years.

Survivors include three Sons: Charles (Anita) of Macon, GA; Eric (Traci) of Winchester, VA; and William (Rachel) of Rockton, IL; five grandchildren: Jon, Erika, Benjamin, Karl, and Aren; two brothers-in-law: Robert Anderson of Elgin, IL, and Wallace Gustafson of Beloit, WI; three cousins: Janet (Don) Rouwenhorst, Mary (Pat) Knueven, and Don Rolander; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents; a brother-in-law, John; three sisters-in-law: Gladys Gustafson, Julia Gustafson, and Christine Anderson; and a cousin, Richard Rolander.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Windsor Park, Carol Stream, IL 60188.
