Jean E. Gardziella, age 85 and a long-time resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with the Lord Monday November 3, 2025. She was born in Chicago, IL March 5, 1940 to John and Sally Cimbalo.

Jean graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1957 and married her husband, Wally Gardziella August 6, 1960, at the Wheaton Evangelical Free Church.  As a young woman she worked as a receptionist at the National Association of Evangelicals and later in life at Living Bibles International.  Her main occupation was as a homemaker – raising her children and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.  In her later years, Jean enjoyed being a grandma and great-mother and vacations by the water with her husband, especially in Lake Geneva and Door County.

Jean is survived by her husband of 65 years, Wally, her children Michelle (Doug) Ward and Scott (Tammy) Gardziella; her grandchildren Adam (Dottie) Ward, Sarah (Byrant) Smith, Matthew (Krista) Gardziella, Nathan (Sarah Davis) Gardziella and Grace Gardziella; her great-grandchildren Mabel, Finley and Wesley Ward, Tatiana, Clement, and Kassiani Smith, and Endeavor and Linden Gardziella. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Nancy (Andy) Trotogot.

A private graveside service and burial will be held at Wheaton Cemetery on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
