Obituary

Janice R. Milligan, 86, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born on October 12, 1925 in Sheboygan, WI.

Mrs. Milligan graduated from Arsenal Technical High School, Indianapolis, IN June 1943.   She attended Hanover College and transferred to Purdue University in August 1946.  She married James W. Milligan February 1, 1947.  She was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority and was an active member of the Phi Mu Alumni Association.  She worked in the Purdue Libraries for over ten years, retiring in 1986.  She was a den leader for Cub Scouts, a Girl Scout leader, an ordained Deacon in the PCUSA, and a volunteer for St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette, IN and for LifeCare Services, a pro-life organization, for many years.  She sang in church choirs for over 60 years.  Her greatest legacy is her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that she passed on to her family and those who knew her.

Surviving with husband Jim are sons, James S. Milligan MD (wife Jill), Indianapolis, IN and John M. Milligan MD (wife Connie), Phoenix AZ, and daughter Catharine M. Kramer (husband Tom), Wheaton, IL, nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 3:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street in Wheaton, IL with Rev. Donald Jones officiating.
