Janet Hicks' Obituary
Janet Hicks, age 64, a resident of Geneva, IL, died October 14, 2011, at home in Geneva, IL. She was born May 13, 1947 in Melrose Park, IL.
Janet was a Counselor for alcohol and drug abuse programs. She also assisted at a home for battered women in DeKalb, IL.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Walter Hicks, Jr. of Geneva.; four children, Kathy Hicks, Debbie Caruso, Tim Hicks and Steve Hicks; two grandchildren, Stephanie and Elizabeth; her mother, Fay Smith; three brothers, Bob (Noreen) Smith, Frank (Sandra) Smith, and Dean (Lee) Smith; and her twin sister, Joan (Terry) Solon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Smith.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N. West St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family.
