IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jane Marie
Figielski
November 29, 1946 – April 19, 2024
In loving memory of Jane Marie Figielski, a pillar of strength and kindness, who peacefully passed away on April 19, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Illinois. She was 77 years old.
Born on November 29, 1946, Jane was a native of Chicago, where she cultivated enduring values of family, friendship, and resilience. Her journey through life was marked by a profound commitment to those she held dear.
Jane's story was one of love and dedication. She shared a lifetime of memories with her beloved husband, Raymond J Figielski Jr., whom she married on July 13, 1968. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and laughter in Glendale Heights, where they lovingly raised their children.
Professionally, Jane was a dedicated employee of the Community Bank, Glen Ellyn, where her hard work and integrity left an indelible mark. After retiring in 2014, she embraced a new chapter of her life, finding joy and fulfillment in her activities at the Wayne Township Senior Center.
Jane had a zest for life that was contagious. She cherished moments spent with friends, whether engaged in lively games of Bunco or finding inner peace through yoga and Tai Chi. Her generous spirit and love for others knew no bounds, and her presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her.
As the second oldest of four sisters, Jane was the glue that bound her family together. Her unwavering dedication extended beyond her immediate family, as she lovingly organized gatherings and celebrations that brought joy to all who attended.
Jane's legacy lives on through her cherished family: her daughter, Anjanette (Camilo) Barros of Wauconda, her son Michael Figielski of Glendale Heights, and her adored grandchildren, Sofia and Noah Barros. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lynn Stojkovich.
In her final journey, Jane is reunited with her beloved husband, Ray, her parents, and her sisters, Patricia Drzewiecki and Gayle Schmidt.
A visitation to celebrate Jane's life will be held on May 4, 2024, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 565 Randy Rd., Carol Stream.
