Jan Anders "Andy" Anderson, age 78, a resident of Windsor Park in Carol Stream, IL, died Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born September 11, 1937 in Orebro, Sweden.

Andy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His faith was important to him and he was considered a loyal and faithful servant of Christ by his family and friends. He regularly volunteered at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL, at the Windsor Park Retirement Center, and at Wheaton Bible Church where he was a member.

He is survived by his two children, Valerie (David) Montsma of Wheaton, IL, and David (Audriana) Anderson of Wheaton, IL; three grandchildren, Colleen and Ryan Montsma, and Nicole Anderson; his sister, Britt (Bob) Bendy; his step-brother, Bob (Beverly) Denton; and his step-sister-in-law, Harriet Denton.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Annette; his daughter, Anita; a step brother, Fred S. Denton; and a step-sister, Mildred Trupp.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service to be held at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Wheaton Cemetery.
