James Michael Tamm, age 70, of Mount Prospect, IL, formerly of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1955, in Berwyn, IL, to William H. Tamm and Lorraine (née Koci)

Jim grew up in Westchester and attended Glenbard South high school, class of 1973. After high school he took some classes at College of DuPage and continued his love for all things cowboy. He hung up his cowboy hat when he became a dad. Jim loved coaching his boys in baseball and was a diehard Chicago sports fan: Bulls, Bears, Blackhawks and White Sox.  In his retirement he developed a passion for RC cars and enjoyed spending more time with his family.

In his free time Jim liked to attend baseball games and play with his grandkids. Jim was known for his easy going , laid-back attitude and his family will always remember the love he had for them.

Jim's spirit will live on through; his children James (Krystal) Tamm, Whitney Tamm, Justin Tamm, and Austin Supol-Tamm; grandchildren Corbin Tamm, Kira Tamm, and Davi Ptak. Jim is also survived by; his sister Gaye Heimann.

James preceded in passing by his parents and brother Bill Tamm.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a later date.
