James W. Tader, 87, a resident of Wheaton, Illinois, died March 26 at Tabor Hills Nursing Care following a long illness. Mr. Tader was born October 5, 1931 in Marion, North Dakota.

Mr. Tader is survived by a son, Mark (Kathy Green) of Wheaton, daughter Kathleen, of Wheaton, and granddaughter Mariel of Ithaca, New York. He is also survived by sisters Lois Toedter, Mae Toedter and Joy Snyder of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and brothers David Tader of Deland, Florida, Phillip Toedter of Perham, Minnesota, Wendel Toedter of Staples, Minnesota and Daniel Toedter, of Wadena, Minnesota.

Mr. Tader was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Vroman), parents Laura and Walter Toedter, and siblings Robert, John, Margaret and Barbara.

Mr. Tader was raised on a farm in North Dakota, and served in the United States Army as a military policeman. He received his Bachelor's degree in agricultural education from the University of Minnesota and Master's degree in public health administration from the University of Hawaii. He worked as a public health administrator in Ann Arbor, Michigan and Denver, Colorado, before moving to Illinois in retirement to live with family.

A memorial service will be held at All Souls' Anglican Church, Wheaton, on April 6 at 1:00 p.m, followed by visitation at the Church at 2:00p.m. Private interment will be held at Wheaton Cemetery.
