James L. "Rosey" Rosenwinkel, age 65, a resident of West Chicago, IL, died Monday, April 10, 2017, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was born December 18, 1951 in Chicago, IL.

Jim was recently retired and looking forward to marrying his fiancee, Judi, in June. He enjoyed travel with Judi, listening to music, reading and sleeping in, finally. He took pleasure in cooking and dining out with friends and family. Jim loved to work on cars and attend car shows and races. He was quick to laugh and and make others laugh, and always willing to help out a friend when he could.

Jim is survived by his fiancee, Judith Schmitt of West Chicago, IL; his siblings, Lori Rosenwinkel of Wheaton, IL and John (Cinda) Rosenwinkel of Glen Ellyn, IL; two nephews, Drew and Eric Rosenwinkel; two nieces, Louissa and Tara Rosenwinkel; his fiance's children, James Gussman, Jason Gussman and Aaron Schmitt. He was "Grandpa" to Judi's four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jeanne Rosenwinkel.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the start of a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
