Obituary
James P. Harte, age 58, a longtime resident of Wheaton, died Friday, August 20 of complications from Lung Cancer. He was born on March 12, 1946 in Melrose Park to Leroy and Anne Harte.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was an excellent artist who loved to paint, do woodworking and build model airplanes. He was a member of the American Legion in Yorkville. He was in the food business all his life.
Jim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Shirley, nee Muehlfelt, one son, Jim (Karla) Harte of Round Lake Beach, one daughter, Suzanne, two grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor, one sister, and Barbara Harte of Highland Park.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 23, from 3 until 9 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wheaton Bible Church, Main and Franklin St. in Wheaton with Rev. John White officiating.
Interment will follow at the Wheaton Cemetery.
