Obituary
Dr. James L. Cole, age 63, a resident of Wheaton, formerly of Bloomington, IL, died Monday, December 18 at home. He was born December 29, 1942 in Bloomington.
Jim was an alumnus of Illinois State, and earned his Educational Doctorate from Northern Illinois University. He earned a Fellowship to Syracuse University. He later taught school in the Blue Island School District before working in Maywood, IL. He taught art and other subjects before serving as Principal for fifteen years. He completed his career as Personnel Director for SASED. He enjoyed photography, music, and computers. He loved long walks with his dog, a black Labrador named Jake.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandy; his son, Christian (Lorrie) of Carol Stream; and three grandchildren, Renee, Stephanie, and Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Mary Cole.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, from 3:00 P.M. until the time of a memorial service at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 N. West St., in Wheaton. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929,
Washington D.C. 20077-7127; or to the Humane Society of Your Choice.
