Our Heavenly Father welcomed James (Jim) A. Chapman home on March 31, 2020 at the age of 82.  He was born on June 12, 1937 to Virgie and Winfred Chapman in Rockford, Illinois.

Jim was a dedicated member of Lisle Bible Church.  He enjoyed gardening just as much as he did fishing.  Jim retired from the Illinois National Guard as a Command Sergeant Major (CMDSGM) after proudly serving for 27 years. Jim retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1992 after 33 years of service.

Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nola, nee Riske; his children Scott (Christine) Chapman & Carrie (Aaron) Imig; his grandchildren Alexis and Sarah Chapman & Benjamin, Joshua, Micah, Emily, Elizabeth, Hannah and Abigail Imig. Jim is also survived by his sister Blanche Chapman.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Chapman, and his parents.

Due to the ongoing world health crisis, a private burial will be held at Lisle Cemetery and a memorial service will be held in the future.
