Jacqueline M. Kunysz, age 73, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, December 4, 2022. She was born November 9, 1949 in Chicago. Jackie grew up in Chicago and attended St Augustine grammar school and St Augustine High School. In 1965 she met Greg Kunysz and they dated for 6 years until they got married May 1, 1971. They purchased their first home in 1974 and moved to Downers Grove. In 1980 they were blessed with a son, Keith Michael.
In 1983 they packed up and relocated to Oklahoma City until 1986 when they again packed up and relocated to New England and Lived in New Hampshire. While in New Hampshire Jackie earned her Education degree from Notre Dame College and began teaching Math/Algebra to Junior High School students. In 1993 the family relocated back home to Illinois and moved to Wheaton, IL. Where she also taught Math/Algebra in Illinois
Jackie was active with Keith in Boy Scouts, President School Advisory Board in New Hampshire and numerous other events and groups. She loved running fundraisers for schools and youth groups
Jackie loved doing crafts and was very good at them. She did ceramics, crocheting, macrame, sewing, needlepoint, scrapbooking, woodworking, glass painting and calligraphy
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Greg Kunysz, her son Keith, daughter in law Erin, and her three granddaughters, Vivienne, Alaina and Juliette. As well as Her Brother Vic Hein, and her sister Margie (Hein) Koss.
She was proceeded in her death by Her Father Paul and Mother Elizabeth and brothers Terry and Paul.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 10, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 300 E Cole Ave, Wheaton, IL 60187. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 a.m. until the mass begins at 10:00.
