Isaiah A. Gipson, age 57, a resident of Bolingbrook, IL, died Friday, January 20, 2012, at the Hines VA Hospital in Hines, IL.
Isaiah Albert Gipson, son of Robert and Vera Gipson, was born on November 30, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the twelfth of fourteen children. He attended Lindblom Math and Science Academy.
After graduating high school, Isaiah enlisted in the Navy. At the end of his naval service, Isaiah then moved to California where he dedicated his life fully to Jesus Christ.
Isaiah moved back to Chicago, Illinois a few years later because he missed his family. Shortly after his return, he was introduced to Annie Maiden, a nurse that worked with his brother Greg at Hines V.A. Hospital.
Annie and Isaiah were married on August 18, 1986. Together they raised a family of three children: Kimberly Ann, Christine Rachel, and Matthew Robert Gipson. The life they shared was full of love and joy.
Isaiah always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and in the mid 90's, he founded what is now known as Gipson Tax Service. Isaiah's hobbies included financial planning and studying history. His real passion was for his family and humanity as a whole. He cared for others in more ways than one, and lived his life to show others they were loved, not just by him but by God above.
On January 20, 2012 at 1:30 p.m., Isaiah went to sleep and woke up healed from his afflictions in the presence of the Lord. He is survived by his wife: Annie, his children: Kimberly, Christine, and Matthew, his sisters: Maggie Gipson and Lois Barber, his brothers: James, Melvin, Gregory, Charles, and Frank. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty Woods, Luvenia Gipson, and Cora Gipson; and his brothers, Marshall Gipson and Herman Frank Gipson. He also leaves a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
