Irene Elizabeth Fox, age 83, a resident of Glen Ellyn, and formerly of Oak Lawn, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove. She was born November 14, 1924 in Chicago, IL, and was the youngest of five siblings.

She is survived by her two children, Mitchell (Barbara) Fox of Glen Ellyn, and Karen (Joseph) Satala of Palos Park; two grandchildren, Andrea (Mike) Manderino, and Nina (Dan) Kult; her sisters-in-law, Helen Pavlica, and Helen Fox; her brother-in-law, Wally Fuchs; her nephew, Frank (Jeanne) Pavlica; and nieces, Jean (Bernard) Caputo, Pat (Jim) Hood, Jackie (Bill) Kibler, Geri Nottke, Janice (Greg) Kulma, Linda (John) Dunn, Victoria Fox, Claudette Fox, and Jean and Pat Klibert.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Mitchell; brothers, Frank, Joe (Josie), and Bill Pavlica; her sister and dearest friend, Emily (Chester) Cudek and caring nephews, Robert and Thomas Cudek.

We will deeply miss our Mother and "Nana" who consistently gave us so much encouragement and love.  She will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6, from 4-9 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton.  Although private family prayers will be said from the funeral home at 8:30 A.M. on Friday, March 7th, friends are invited to join us for the funeral Mass, which will be held at 9:30 A.M. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., in Glen Ellyn. Interment will follow the Mass at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
