Ian Fyvie Keith, age 90, a resident of Lake Carroll, IL, died Thursday, August 10th, 2017 with family in Wheaton, IL. He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on June 15th, 1927.
Dr. Keith worked for Swift & Co., Dinner Bell Foods, and was a professor at Quincy University and Judson University. He was a member of Hubbard's Marina in Florida and loved fishing and golfing. His greatest joy was time with his family and passing on his Scottish legacy to them all.
He is survived by his wife Mary, and children Susan (Mark Granzow), Robert (Deb), and Sally. Also his grandchildren, Allison, Aimee (Nate Friedrichsen), and Danny Granzow, and Brandon (Jessica), Tyler, Carly (Greg Aagaard), and Connor Keith. As well as his great-grandchildren, Owen and Gus Friedrichsen, Ella, Griffin, and Brynlee Keith, and Adley and Olive Aagaard. He is also survived by his brother Peter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Hamish.
Ian will be sorely missed here on earth, but we rest in the assurance that he is with his Heavenly Father because of his faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held just over a week later on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at
Bethany Chapel
