Hijoong Cho, age 74, of Carol Stream, IL, and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on October 3, 2011 peacefully in the presence of his family at Central Dupage Hospital in Winfield, IL. He was the beloved father of Caroline, Donald, and Paul; dearest grandfather of Arin Butzon, Grace Cho, Donald Alex Cho, Justin Butzon, Margaret Cho, Brayden Cho, and Lucille Cho. Born in South Korea in a family of six children, Hijoong is survived by his loving sisters, Haerim Lee, Heena Cho and brother, Jason Cho. After graduating college, he worked as a journalist/editor for one of the major newspapers in Korea. He had command of multiple languages including English, Japanese and written Chinese. He enjoyed reading, watching all sporting events and spending time with his grandchildren. He has touched the lives of his family with his intellect, wisdom, and sense of humor. He will be forever remembered and missed by many.
