Obituary

Herman C. Wolze, age 83, a resident of Wheaton, died at home on Friday, March 31, 2006. He was born on June 1, 1922 in Mulkeytown, IL to William and Ruth Wolze, the oldest of four children.

He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the Army in Japan. He returned home after the war to Chicago where he met his wife, Helen. Mr. Wolze worked as a school engineer for the Chicago Public Schools for many years. In retirement he lovingly donated his time to helping many people, family and the American Legion. He loved being around people.

Herman is survived by two children, Karen (Jeffrey) Galas of Carol Stream, and Matthew (Dana) Wolze of Wheaton, and one grandson, Steven Galas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his parents and siblings.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, from 3 to 9 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M.

Interment will follow at Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside.
