Henry "Hank" Mazur, age 71, a 21 year resident of Glen Ellyn, passed away on Tuesday, February 16. He was born September 5, 1944 in Chicago the youngest of nine children.
Hank grew up in Chicago and graduated from St. Casimir Grammar School and Harrison High School. He attended Elmhurst College and a Tool and Die School. He worked as a technical representative for Xerox for 35 years until he retired in 2003.
Hank loved nature and was a positive, creative, and easy-going person with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a member of the Prairie State Bonsai Society and the Morton Arboretum. He enjoyed travel, computers, reading, photography, and the art of Bonsai. He was a foodie who enjoyed exploring cultural foods. Most of all he was a loving husband.
He is survived by his wife, Mimi, one sister, Cecile Rowan, his sister-in-law, Colleen (Dave) Glorioso and her children, Jennifer and Jacob Glorioso. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
A visitation will be held Sunday, February 21st, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Wheaton, IL. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 22nd at the same location.
