Henrietta "Dolly" Blasen, age 94, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Meadowbrook Manor in Naperville, Illinois.  She was born February 10, 1921 in Chicago to Edward and Phyllis Cooney.

Dolly grew up in Chicago and graduated from Austin High School.  She married Leo Blasen on May 31, 1939.  They had ten children that were the focus of her life.  She and Leo were involved the VFW and the VFW auxillary.

She is survived by nine children, Patrick Blasen of Wheaton, Elaine (Les) Schindler of Naperville, Phyllis (Gary) Inman of Big Rock, Wayne (Cathy) Blasen of Schaumburg, Keith (Connie) Blasen of Georgia, Shirley (Donald) Cort of WI, Joyce (Dave) Bertling of Winfield, Leonard Blasen of Clinton, and Allan Blasen of Aurora, sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Blasen, one son, Richard, one grandchild, Vincent Cort, her brother, John Cooney and her sister, Babe Schatsick.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m.

Interment will be held privately at Assumption Cemetery.
