Helen Doris Stolpe's Obituary
Helen Doris Stolpe, age 94, a resident of the Holmstad in Batavia and formerly a longtime resident of Carol Stream, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Michaelson Healthcare Center in Batavia. She was born on April 2, 1920 in Oakland, California to Gustaf and Anetta Erikson.
Doris was an active member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Wheaton. From 1970 until 1985 she worked for MAP International.
She is survived by her children, Norman (Candace) Stolpe of Dallas, TX, and Elaine (Max) Ludwig of Aurora, seven grandchildren, Jon (Leanne), David (Rachel), and Erik Stolpe, Lauren Arnold, Jane (Terry) Summey, Tom (Tricia) Williams, and Helen Williams, and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Harold Stolpe.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Evangel Baptist Church, 1900 Manchester Road, Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Evangel Baptist Church, Missions Fund.
