Obituary
Helen Marie Jacobsen, age 85, a resident of Glen Ellyn since 1962 and formerly of Wheaton, went home to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, October 12, at home. She was born July 23, 1920 in Chicago.
Helen was a member of St. John Lutheran Church since 1950, where she was actively involved in the JOY Group for Seniors. She graduated from St. John's Elementary School, and Shurs High School in River Forest. She later worked as an accountant for Chicago Mail Order House.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Joel) McDonnell of Glen Ellyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Russell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave. in Wheaton. Interment will follow at Eden Memorial Park, in Schiller Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to CNS/Hospice of DuPage, 690 E. North Ave, Carol Stream, IL 60188; or to St. John Lutheran Church, 125 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187.
