Helen L. Cagle, age 90, a resident of Wheaton, IL died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on Monday, November 7, 2011, at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, IL. She was born March 25, 1921 in Chicago, IL.

Helen was a full time wife and mother. She volunteered with the local Hospice organization in her community as well as the church choir and resale shop. She also volunteered as a tutor in the public schools. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday with all of her family around her.

She is survived by her nine children, William A. (Cathy) Cagle, Constance (George) Balogh, Richard (Carolyn) Cagle, John (Debbie) Cagle, Janice Cagle, James (Eileen) Cagle, Lawrence Cagle, Denise Schmidt and Kenneth Cagle; 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Lucille (Les) Palmer and Pat Palmer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Cagle; her daughter, Mary Beth Cagle; and her son-in-law, Charles Schmidt.

A visitation will be held Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 2-6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Irene Catholic Church, 28W441 Warrenville Rd. in Warrenville, IL. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
