Helen Grace (Wilcox) Anderson
Helen Grace Anderson, 86, of Chicago, IL went to be with the Lord in the morning of September 22, having peacefully passed away at Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL. Helen was born Helen Grace Wilcox in Crab Orchard, WV on August 28, 1928 to Frances Hester and Arnold Glen Wilcox. Preceded in death were Helen's husband, Austin Anderson (2005), her step-son Lon (1973) and her siblings Basil Wilcox, Arnold Wilcox, John Wilcox, AG Wilcox Jr., Verna Lee Wilcox and Ella Vee Wilcox. She is survived by siblings Nina Eldridge and husband Paul, Ina Gross and husband Kenneth, and Douglas Wilcox and wife Sally. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Kathryn Lenzmann and husband Edwin (children Heidi and Deanna), grandson Marc Anderson and wife Catherine (children Lon and Austin), and granddaughter Christy Martens and husband Victor (children Syndey and Soren).

Helen graduated from Shady Spring High School in 1946 as valedictorian, and attended Beckley College in 1946. She served her Lord by dedicating her working efforts to Moody Bible Institute from 1951 – 1991 where she met her husband, Austin. She and Austin were married on March 18, 1967 and enjoyed many years of travelling, entertaining, biking and volunteering at Edgewater Baptist Church and Moody Bible Institute. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends who know that she is now in a better place. Funeral services will be held at Hultgren Funeral Home on Friday, September 26 at 11:00 am. Grave-side services will also be held on September 26 in Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
