Heidi L. Ekberg's Obituary
Heidi L. Ekberg, 68, of Elmhurst died Sunday, January 18. She was born on May 11, 1946 in Berwyn, IL to the late Sam and Eleanor Niko.
Heidi was a long time employee of Tel*Assist. She loved playing cards, musicals, and traveling (especially to Vegas). She was truly blessed to have an amazing group of friends that were like family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
She is survived by her son Jim Ekberg of Tempe, AZ, daughter Mindy (Chad) Bergeron of Wheaton, IL, grandchildren Jacob and Ellie Bergeron, and brother Sam (Marcia) Niko. Also Rose (Tim) Klaben who was like a daughter to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Ekberg.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 12 - 4 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church 21W500 Butterfield Rd. Lombard, IL 60148
