Obituary

Heidi Lynn Anderson, a loving mother, caring daughter, and devoted sister, passed away on August 25, 2023 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Illinois, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 26, 1984, in Hinsdale, IL, she was the beloved daughter of David and Georgeann Anderson.

Heidi's formative years were spent in Winfield, IL, where she cultivated her passion and skill as a dedicated figure skater. Her grace and determination on the ice were a testament to her talents. She attended Wheaton North and proudly graduated in 2002. Later, she furthered her academic journey, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Wesleyan University.

At the age of 19, Heidi became a mother, and she would say that it transformed her and gave her an unwavering passion and purpose to nurture and protect her children. Heidi's role as a mother brought her boundless joy and purpose. Her children - Brooklynn, Declen, Adalynn, and Colten - were the stars that lit up her world. Their happiness and well-being were her constant priorities, and she embraced her role as a mother with unyielding love and dedication. There is no doubt that Heidi felt her greatest accomplishment were those children, and it's comforting to know that it was reflected back to her every time she looked into their eyes.

With a heart full of compassion and a desire to make a difference, Heidi embarked on a career in nursing. She had a sharp mind, calm demeanor and was ever devoted to the care and rehabilitation of those in need. Her career in rehabilitation intersected with her personal life after she gave birth to her 4th child, Colten. In a twist of fate, her skills as a rehabilitation nurse were needed at home to care for her child.

Heidi found solace and joy in the company of her loved ones. She was strong, caring, and was ever committed to her friends and family. Heidi is survived by her adoring children, Brooklynn (19), Declen (11), Adalynn (9), & Colten (7); her loving parents, David and Georgeann, and her sister Krista (Dustin), her brother Erik (Kiley), her nieces and nephews Canyon, Baer, & Finn, and her many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Her memory will live on in their hearts, a beacon of love and inspiration.

A visitation to honor Heidi's life will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, located at 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A memorial service, celebrating Heidi's legacy and the impact she made, will be held at 3:00 p.m. during the visitation.

Heidi Lynn Anderson's light may have dimmed, but the warmth of her spirit will forever shine in the lives of those she touched. Her memory will be cherished, her love remembered, and her legacy carried forward by all who were fortunate to know her.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the family for her children's education.
