Harvey Jacobsen Jr, age 60, a resident of Wheaton, IL and formerly of West Chicago, IL, , died Friday, December 25, 2009 in the comfort of his home with his wife and daughter by his side after a battle with cancer. He was born January 9, 1949 in Elmhurst, IL.

After graduating from West Chicago Community High in 1967, Harvey served our country in the Vietnam War from February 10, 1969 until March 25, 1971. He was employed for several years at 7-Up, Alamax Extrusions and most recently S.S. Schwartz. He loved restoring old cars, fishing, his tractor, and vacationing in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia; his daughter, Jennifer; his mother, Marie; his twin brother, Robert (Cindy) Jacobsen; his cousins, Fred (Carol) Friend and Joan Conway, both of Jenison, MI; and his cat, Squeeky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Jacobsen Sr.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, from 4:00 P.M. until the time of a public funeral service at 7:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton. Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family.
