Harry David Macy, age 93, a resident of Indianapolis, IN and a former longtime resident of Wheaton, IL died Monday, September 9, in Indianapolis. He was born December 15, 1919 in Wichita, KS.
Harry served in the South Pacific arena in WWII as a Major in the army earning both the bronze and silver stars. He worked as a technical advisor in the Patent Division of the Atomic Energy Commission at Argonne National Laboratory.
Harry was a member of Church at Main in Brownsburg, IN, and a former member of Village Green Baptist Church, in Glen Ellyn, IL and Wheaton Evangelical Free Church in Wheaton, IL.
He is survived by his three daughters, Barb (Keith) Dunkel, Jan (Jon) MacKinney, and Jackie (Steve) Pointer; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Elaine and daughter, Pat Macy.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 14, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Wheaton, IL. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
A second memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Westside Garden Plaza, 8616 W. 10th Street, in Indianapolis, IN.
