Haroldine Kaye Wright (Dee), age 67, a resident of Sylmar, California went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 13, 1942 to Harold and Clara Mae Wright in Monte Vista, CO.
Dee was raised in San Fernando, CA and graduated from San Fernando High School in 1960. She began working as a data entry operator after high school. She worked for several companies in the valley including Datagraphics and the Lundberg Survey. She retired from the American Federation of Musicians in 2008 where she worked for almost 20 years.
She was the beloved mother of Gale (Kevin) Van Norman of Wheaton, IL; dear sister of Patricia Jenkins of Monte Vista, CO; Frank (Patricia) Wright of Henderson, NV; Carole Wright of Mission Hills, CA; Mary Lou Rowden of Fresno, CA; Sharon (Scott) Scheidler of Colorado Springs, CO; and cousin of Maxine (Dan) Smith of Sylmar, CA; and devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Glen.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Granada Hills Baptist Church, 10949 Zelzah Avenue, Granada Hills, CA. Interment is private at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar, CA.
