Harold S. Tripp, age 62, a resident of Carol Stream, and formerly of Wheaton, died Tuesday, November 29, at home. He was born July 9, 1943 in Syracuse, NY.
Harold volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for 30 years in a number of local troops in the Wheaton and Carol Stream area. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #673 for more than 25 years. He really enjoyed spending time with family. His grandkids were his life.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Katie; his seven children, Tammy (Steve) Dishion of Lexington, KY, Gregory of Chicago, Jeffery (Elizabeth) of Erding, Germany, Tracey (William) Ellis of Phoenix, AZ, Daniel (Kerry) of Hanover Park,
Andrew (fiance Bekah) of Los Angeles, CA, and Matthew of Carol Stream; six grandchildren, Kate and Nick Dishion, Eric and Tyler Tripp, Gavin Ellis, and Samantha Tripp; and his brother, John (Suzanne) of Ft. Smith, AR.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 3-9 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, where a service will be held on Friday, at 11:00 A.M. Interment is private.
