Obituary

Harold W. Miller, age 82, a resident of Wheaton, IL, and formerly of Fords and Englishtown, NJ, died Tuesday, September 11, 2012, at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. He was born November 13, 1929 in Raritan Township, NJ.

Harold was a member of the Carpenters Local 65 in Perth Amboy, NJ and 916 in Aurora, IL for over 55 years and was a construction inspector and coordinator from 1960 until he retired from Argonne Labs in 1998. He played semi-pro football for the Woodbridge Golden Bears in New Jersey for eight years. He was the Charter Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 365 of Wheaton for four years. In recent years he especially enjoyed doing family genealogical research.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edith Miller of Wheaton, whom he married on September 7, 1948; three children, Kathleen (Neil) Faulstich of Warrenville, IL, Karen (Kenneth) Hamilton of Munster, IN, and Christian (Jeanne) of Reedsburg, WI; six granddaughters, Kimberly (Mark) Urbaniak, Kelly Faulstich, Jessica, Melissa, and Corissa Miller, and Meghan Bach; two great-grandchildren, Alyson and Bryan Urbaniak; a son-in-law, Dan Bach; and many nieces and nephews along the east coast.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia; and his sister, Elaine M. Peterson.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St, in Wheaton, IL where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
