Harold Foos, a resident of Wheaton, Illinois, died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois.
He was born in Hillrose, Colorado in 1936, to John and Lydia Foos, the youngest of three children.
He attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where he received his Masters of Theology and Doctorate of Theology degrees. He was ordained in the Grand Prairie Bible Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.
He taught for 34 years at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago as a professor of Bible and Theology. For many years he was book review editor for Moody Magazine and taught Radio School of the Bible over Moody Radio.
In retirement Harold enjoyed filling pulpits in Chicagoland area. He was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Janet and their three sons: John (wife Cristi) of Winfield IL, David (wife Monique) of San Marcos, California and Daniel (wife Crystal) of Eagle, Idaho. He left six grandchildren: Clara, Nicole, Devon, Pierson, Catherine and Marcus.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Lydia Foos, two sisters – Natalia Weimer and Lillian Rosenbach.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at
College Church
, 332 E. Seminary Ave., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
