Harold Arthur Baum age 66, resident of Glendale Heights, Illinois passed away peacefully on April 24, 2021, with his loving wife, Cathy (Deyo) Baum of 45 years by his side. He was the loving and caring father of Ashley (Garrett) Knasko, Andy (Angela) Baum, Amanda Baum, and the late Allison Baum.  He leaves behind 10 cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Skylar, Miles, Tyler, Athena, Andrew, Ryder, Ariana, Kamari and Kyler. Hal is survived by his sisters Linda (Brad) Burdick, Dyan (Michael) Bryskier, and brother Edward Baum.  He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Hal is also preceded in death by his parents Harold and Jeanne Baum. He was beloved by all who knew him.

He was the pouring force behind the bar at the Herrington Inn in Geneva. He leaves behind many sad customers who will miss his bartending skills. Many also remember him from the Drake Hotel in Oakbrook. Hard worker that he was, he had another full time job and worked at Condata for the past decade.

Hal was a very kind man and took his mother's advice to heart: "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".  He never had a bad word to say about anyone he ever met or knew. He had a very strong faith and died at peace, knowing his daughter Allison, his parents and many other family members are waiting for him. Before he died, he told all those near and dear to him that he will be with us again and be there waiting when our time has come.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Bloomingdale Church, 264 Glen Ellyn Rd, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. Private internment to follow.
