November 12, 1930 – October 15, 2025
H. Keith Lindley, age 94, a resident of Wheaton, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. He was born on November 12, 1930 in Tulia, Texas to Horace & Frances Lindley. He attended Baylor University and graduated in 1952. He served in the US Navy as a gunnery officer aboard the USS Lake Champlain during the Korean conflict. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane, with whom he served in Central America as field coordinator for Missionary Ventures, Orlando, Florida after retirement from Poe & Associates in Tampa in 1986. Loving father of Elizabeth (the late Glenn) Kindig, Catherine Lindley, and Victoria (Kurt) Zischke. Keith is also survived by his niece Laurie Cooley Bentley & nephew Craig Cooley as well as his stepdaughters: Colleen (Shawn) Anderson & Cheryl (Brian) Baird and their extended families. He was known as 'Papa Keith' to his grandchildren: Anna, Allegra, Alexandra & Elijah and his step-grandchildren Lauren, Karen, Chrissy, Nikki, David & Ryan. Keith was so proud of such a talented group. He was preceded in death by his sister Carolyn Cooley.
A memorial service will be held at Wheaton Bible Church, 27W500 North Ave, West Chicago, IL 60185, on Saturday, November 8 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 10:00am and a reception will follow the service at 12:00pm. Burial will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
