IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gregory G.
Bach, Jr.
January 9, 1976 – October 8, 2024
Gregory Bach, Jr., age 48, passed away surrounded by family, Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He is survived by his parents, Gregory, Sr. & Barbara Bach, his siblings Brandi (Jimmy) McGoldrick, Douglas (Temi) Bach, Megan Bach, Dina Bach; his nieces and nephews: Fiona & Mitchell McGoldrick; Anthony & Lukey Bach, and Berry Bach. Also survived by his PWHO family in Wisconsin.
Gregory "Greggy" was born January 9, 1976, in Winfield, IL. He was the first born of five children, had too many cousins to count, and grew up in a wonderful neighborhood where neighbors were as close as family. He graduated from Wheaton North High School and was well known in the community for his vibrant, unique, and loving personality. Everywhere Greggy went, he left his mark. He was one of a kind. As a young adult, Greggy started a new adventure when he moved into his Prader Willi Group home in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, where he gained another close family. He loved his life in Wisconsin and had so many fun experiences with great friends, housemates, and community.
Greggy's enthusiasm for life's simple things made everyone more joyous when he was around. He loved family gatherings and visits home, where he could laugh and talk with his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and play with all the family pets. He had a special connection with animals and was a dog lover his entire life. He loved his parents deeply and looked forward to spending special time with each of them. His most cherished person was his mom, with whom he shared a special bond and who he talked with daily to share his exciting news of the day and whatever was on the menu that night.
Greggy was the life of every party, known for his superior dance moves and infectious laughter. He loved visiting his favorite restaurants, enjoying a home cooked meal, seeing the latest movies, cheering on the Packers, and having his favorite strong cup of Starbucks coffee. He was a Special Olympics Medalist, winning medals in bowling, bocci ball, and basketball. His favorite color was pink, and he loved to wear bright colors, lighting up every room he walked into with both his clothes and his personality.
Greggy's legacy will live on in the many lives he touched. He was smart, curious, enthusiastic, and kind, and he will be remembered forever for his playful personality and pure heart. When we think of Greggy, we will remember to take ourselves a little less seriously, live a little more authentically, hit the dance floor unapologetically, and stop and pet the dog.
