Obituary

Grace M. Rexilius, age 74, a resident of Wheaton for 36 years, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 3, at home. She was born on January 26, 1930 in Cicero to William and Hermina McCarrell.

Grace was best known for her faith in Christ. Her desire was to serve God and her family. She loved her family, and very much enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a faithful spouse, avid sports fan and great mom. For the 28 years that her husband coached football at Wheaton North High School she never missed a game. She was an active member of Grace Church of DuPage.

Grace is survived by five children, Sandra of Winfield, Susan (Scott) Hall of West Chicago, James (Laura) Jr. of Wheaton, Paul (Heidi) of Wheaton, and Ken of Wheaton; ten grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Jonathan, Jorden, Kent, Troy, Brett, Jacob, Andrew, and James; six siblings, Myrtle Stukes, William (Marge) McCarrell, James (Nicki) McCarrell, Ruth Gray, David (Judy) McCarrell and Daniel (Joanne) McCarrell and many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James "Coach Rex" Rexilius, her parents, two brothers, Gordon and Paul McCarrell.

A funeral service was held on Monday that 11:00 A.M. at Grace Church of DuPage, 27W 344 Galusha Road Warrenville, IL 60555. Interment followed at Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Grace Church of Du Page, Rexilius Memorial Fund, 27W 344 Galusha Road, Warrenville, IL 60555, to be used for "Coach Rex's Camp" and missions.
