Grace C. Magill, a resident of Wheaton for 54 years, died Sunday, January 9 at the Central DuPage Hospital. She was born in Chicago to Charles and Clara Frana.
Grace graduated from Taft High School in Chicago and then went to The American Academy of Art and the Chicago Art Institute. She worked as an women's fashion artist for an advertising agency. She painted her entire life and was a charter member of the DuPage Art League. She enjoyed antiques and animals, especially cats. She also loved to travel, golf and fish. She was a member of the Morton Arboretum and loved nature.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Magill, two children, Charles (Lisa) Magill of Flower Mound, Texas, and Laura (Kurt) Schroeder of Cary, IL, two grandchildren, Caitlin and Patrick Magill, two step-grandchidren, Catie and Kim Schroeder, and her cat, Cali.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
