Grace J. Leask's Obituary
Grace J. Leask, age 90, a resident of Windsor Park Manor in Carol Stream, IL, died Sunday, June 15, at Windsor's Johnson Health Care Center. She was born April 12, 1918 in Waterloo, IA.
Grace graduated from Iowa State Teacher's College (University of Northern Iowa) in Cedar Falls, IA with a Bachelor's degree in teaching in 1940. She completed a Master's degree in Clothing and Textiles from Michigan State University. She taught high school in Milwaukee, WI for over thirty years. She was a long time member of Wauwatosa Community Chapel in Wisconsin and also at Bethany Chapel in Wheaton, IL. She often gave of her time and resources to decorate and landscape at Windsor Park Manor.
She is survived by her nephew, Douglas (Jan) Dunkerton of Waterloo, IA; and her niece, Lynne (Don) Ahrenholz of Winfield, IL; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Edith Leask; her sister, Margaret Dunkerton; and her infant brother.
Services and interment are private at Waterloo Memorial Park in Waterloo, IA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to Windsor Park Manor, 124 Windsor Park Drive, Carol Stream, IL 60188.
