Gloria June Anderson, age 81, died Sunday, February 17, 2008 at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge. Residence, Millcreek Twp. She was born in Oak Park, IL on June 12, 1926, daughter of the late John M. and Eva Barriball Anderson. She had lived in the Erie area since 1977.

Gloria received her B.S. degree from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana and her Masters in Botany from Wellesley College. She was employed with Baxter Travenal Pharmaceutical and G.D. Searle Pharmaceutical companies. She was previously employed with Morton Arboretum in Illinois. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed gardening and photography.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet Griffiths and her husband Gary of Pittsburgh; two sons, Mark Mizuba and his wife Winnie of Roanoke, VA and Eric Mizuba and his wife Andrea of Millcreek Twp.; six grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Griffiths, Maile, Isabella and Austin Mizuba and Hannah Mizuba; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Malcolm and Robert John Anderson.

Interment will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite. 700, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
