Obituary

Glenn Eugene Denlinger, of Lombard, and formerly of Wheaton, died suddenly at his home at Beacon Hill in Lombard on Saturday, September 13. Glenn was born on March 19, 1932, in Farmersville, OH.

Lois Marilyn (Nee Booher) Denlinger, followed her beloved, on Sunday, September 14, passing away peacefully after a long, but dignified battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She had been well cared for in the Lilac Wing of Beacon Hill and under the compassionate care of Optum Palliative and Hospice Care . Marilyn was born on January 17, 1934, in Shelby County, OH.

Devoted parents of Thomas Kurt (Kelly), Karen, David (Carol) and Douglas (Kathryn); cherished grandparents of Kyle, Abbey, Kristin, John, Ashley and Megan; Gene was a dear brother to Richard, Donald and Shirley Lauver. Marilyn was a loving sister to Delbert Lowell Booher and the late Ruby Eileen Holland. The two were fond aunt and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Dear friends to many.

Glenn was a Korean War veteran, where during his time of service as a private in the US Army, served as a photographer, as well as ran the officers' club. He married Marilyn Booher in 1955 and earned his Associates Degree from University of Dayton, while working full time. He and Marilyn had four children and moved their family around the country to NJ, OH and TN as he pursued increasingly responsible positions in his field. Meanwhile, Marilyn earned her Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Business Education. Their pursuits led them to Illinois where they had lived for over 38 years. Glenn was a founding partner of Elasto-Tec, Inc. in Burr Ridge, IL, where with Marilyn at his side, he, his partners, their families and dedicated employees worked together for over 15 years to create a successful company.

Marilyn and Glenn were active members of their church and philanthropic supporters of many causes. Marilyn was especially supportive of CareNet of DuPage, where she served as a counselor for many years, PEO, Wheaton Women's Republican Club and countless other local and national organizations.

Marilyn and Glenn fiercely loved and supported their children, grandchildren and one another. They faithfully sought God's plan for their lives, living their lives in LOVE and encouraged those around them to do the same.
