Ginny Newitt, age 92, a resident of Wheaton, died on Monday, December 21, at the DuPage Convalescent Center. She was born on July 27, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan to Walter and Grace Bossardet.

Ginny was a member of College Church in Wheaton and for many years of Saint Mark's Church in Geneva. Ginny had many talents. She wrote columns for Moody Monthly magazine. She was also a sculptor. Her friends and loved ones treasure her many lovely pieces. She excelled at planning parties for church get-togethers. She sang in a ladies trio for many years at College Church.

She is survived by her husband George, her sister Shirley, her children Timothy, Daniel, Sylvia Alloway and Dennis, her grandchildren Brock, Benjamin, Daniel, Christopher, Stephen and Devin, and her great grandchild, Casey.

She was preceded in death by her sister May and her brother Charles.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 26 at 11 a.m. at College Church, Washington and Seminary St. in Wheaton with Rev. Wendell Hawley officiating. Private interment will be at Wheaton Cemetery
