Gerald J. Fewer, age 92, a resident of Wheaton, IL, died February 22, 2015, at Lexington Health Care Center in Lombard, Illinois. He was born April 1, 1922 in Harbour Main, Newfoundland.
Gerry served proudly as a Staff Sergeant for the 548th AntiAircraft Artillary Division during World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He was a wonderful husband and father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Carol-Anne Maropoulos of Homer Glen, IL, and William Fewer of Hoopeston, IL; his granddaughters, Jamie (David) Stallings Lisa (Anthony) Farbo, Jayme Lee Fewer and Alexandra Fewer; and his great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Richard Ferguson, and Michael and Billy Kendall, and Demi, Tia, Joseph, Sal and Anthony Farbo, and Candace, Alissa, Jordan, and Catelyn Stallings; and his great-great-grandson, Andrew Stallings.
Services and interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
