Gerald S. "Jerry" Arduino, age 84, a resident of Wheaton but formerly of Geneva passed away on October 8, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born August 6, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph Arduino and Bernice Bielski, the first of three children. Jerry grew up in Chicago as well as Northlake and graduated from Leyden High School in 1960 where he was a part of the wrestling and track team.
After graduation he attended Northern Illinois University for two years and later enlisted in the Army where he served for three years, two of which were in Fairbanks Alaska. He married Tyleen Johnson and they were married 34 years and raised four sons. Jerry had several positions during his working years but the majority of them were in sales.
Jerry loved to fish! Big lakes, little lakes, ponds, rivers, you name it he fished it. Always a nature lover he was also a birdwatcher, enjoyed canoeing, grilling, and the outdoors. He played the accordion, enjoyed playing cards, reading, and attending the events his children and grandchildren participated in. He was kind and loving to those who knew him.
Jerry will be especially missed by his sister, Rita, his sons: Jerry, Joseph, Jim, and John, and his three grand daughters: Hannah, Chloe, and Lucy.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
