George I. Woods Jr., 79, a resident of Wheaton and formerly a longtime resident of the Lakeview area of Chicago, died at home on Saturday, September 7. He was born in Chicago to George and Elsie Woods.

George is the loving Father of Susan Woods and George I. (Denise) Woods III, proud grandfather of Jeff Mays, and Geo, Ryan and Hallie Woods, brother of Marion (the late Robert) Andre, Carole Czeltdko, and Larry (Liz) Woods, and uncle to many.

He was an avid sportsman, and loved fishing and the outdoors. George loved life and had a vibrant personality. He enjoyed telling stories and made friends with everyone he met. He had a beautiful heart.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A mass will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 315 W. Illinois St., Wheaton, IL 60187.
